Gut-Healthy Tuna Steaks

Guest recipe and blog by Emily Hill @wonderwhyimfat

As someone who loves to cook, I'm always experimenting with new recipes and ingredients. But there's one food that I've always been a little intimidated by: fish.

Maybe it's the thought of overcooking it and ending up with a dry, tasteless meal, or maybe it's the idea of dealing with bones and scales. But this winter, I've decided to face my fear and really focus on incorporating more fish into my diet. And I have to say, it's been a game changer - not just for my taste buds, but for my gut health as well.

See, it turns out that a healthy gut is crucial if you want to feel your best. It's linked to everything from digestion and immunity to mental health and sleep. That's why I've committed to cooking more fish this winter – it's a great way to mix things up and give my health a much needed lift.

Tuna is a true powerhouse when it comes to gut health. It's rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help reduce inflammation and improve digestion. It's also high in vitamin B12, a nutrient that's essential for a healthy gut microbiome. And the best part? Tuna steaks are a great alternative to beef steaks because they have less saturated fat and are higher in many vitamin sources.

To help you incorporate more tuna into your diet, I've come up with a delicious and easy recipe that's perfect for any night of the week. There’s a ton of yumminess happening here, but the highlight ingredient is definitely Just Thrive Probiotic. For keeping your gut health balanced and strong, there’s nothing better.

Plus, Just Thrive Probiotic is odorless and tasteless, and can be mixed into just about any beverage or recipe. You can even bake with it on high heat without having to worry about listing potency!
